Secret Places in Hanoi (Part 1 – Ca Phe Trung)

Hanoi is full of people, motorbikes and also full of good places to eat and drink. Here is my first insider tip for good eats and drinks in Hanoi.

Here is one tiny little hidden place were you´ll find the best Cà Phê Trứng in the city. What? You don´t know what Ca Phe Trung is?
Cà Phê Trứng is a traditional northern vietnamese egg coffee. Right! There´s a egg in the coffee. If you like to eat tiramisu you´ll love this coffee as well!
This place is in the Old City Quarter and is really hard to find. Walk to 11P Hang Gai Street and you´ll just find a souvenir shop. But if you walk in a small and dark corridor close to the souvenir shop you find Café Phố Cổ.

Make your order  downstairs. Then walk upstairs and you will get the best view over the Hoan Kiem lake in central Hanoi. Sit there and enjoy this amazing coffee. (I´ve been here 3 times in 4 days)
